It's been an amazing summer live music season here at CashorTrade. From the final Dead & Company tour, to the intimate Tyler Childers shows, to a jam-filled Phish tour, it's been a wild ride.

While we know that fall doesn't technically begin until September 21st, we here at CoT feel like summer wraps up with the last note of the Phish Dick's run. As such, we're setting our sights on the fall festival season.

Whereas summer used to be the main season for music festivals, there are more and more options for festies in the cooler fall months. Here are some of the top fall festivals that we're excited about this year:

Borderland Festival

First up on our radar is Borderland in East Aurora, NY from September 15-17. This festival features a triple-threat of headliners with Goose, Trey Anastasio with Classic TAB, and moe.

There's lots to love about this lineup, with Dawes, the Infamous Stringdusters, Sammy Rae & the Friends, Neal Francis, and much more. We love the vibe of this festival as there are two stages without a ton of overlap.

The most exciting thing about this year's Borderland, though, is the introduction of camping. It should be a beautiful weekend weather-wise and the perfect time to camp out with friends.

Bourbon & Beyond

Down in Louisville, KY, they're throwing quite the fall kick-off party at Bourbon & Beyond from September 14-17. This is as diverse a lineup as they come, with headlining performances from Brandi Carlile, Billy Strings, the Killers, Bruno Mars, the Black Keys, and Duran Duran.

As you might expect, the bourbon will be flowing at this fall festival. If that's not your scene, no worries - there will be a wide variety of food and beverage vendors.

There are plenty of options for accommodation, from hotels, to camping, to glamping and RV sites. You can find all kinds of ticket packages from other fans over on CoT.

Lost Lands

Throw up your Xs and get ready to dance with the dinosaurs. Lost Lands is back at Legend Valley, OH from September 22-24! This popular EDM fall festival is headlined by Excision, who will present several sets over the weekend. Other big names include Ganja White Night, LSDream, and Flux Pavilion.

There are quite a few options for staying on-site, or you can choose to rage the hotel and take a shuttle instead. Either way, it's going to be a wild weekend at LV!

Cascade Equinox

The new kid on the block, Cascade Equinox makes its debut in Redmond, OR this fall from September 22-24.

Everyone is talking about Pretty Lights, and they sit atop the lineup along with Goose, Phantogram, and Big Wild. More than just a music festival, it promises an "immersive experience of visual & performance art."

One thing's for sure - this will be a special way to celebrate the fall equinox and welcome the official start of the season.

RetroBlakesberg: The Music Never Stopped

Last but certainly not least, we'd like to spotlight this awesome exhibition from one of the biggest legends in live music photography - Jay Blakesberg.

RetroBlakesberg: The Music Never Stopped is open at the Contemporary Jewish Museum of San Francisco until January 28, 2024, so you have plenty of time to check it out.

This one-of-a-kind exhibit features Blakesberg's film photos from 1978 to 2008, covering artists ranging from the Grateful Dead to Carlos Santana to Joni Mitchell. Beyond the artists themselves, you'll see plenty of fan shots, as the exhibit shines a light on the sub-cultures that emerged around them.

There you have it, folks. As you can see, we have a pretty stacked fall festival lineup ahead of us. Whichever fest you choose, make sure to #EmbracetheFace and buy and sell your tickets with other fans for face value. We hope you all stay safe out there and have a blast this fall!
